In collaboration with Henchion Reuter Architects, Shaffrey Architects provide design services relating to the existing building which houses offices, library, public reception rooms and basement café. Works also involve a new extension to the rear to accommodate classrooms led by Henchion Reuter.

The original house has been restored extensively. The new build consists of a sub-parterre level over most of the site with a split level three-storey mews above. It is designed to service the existing building and forms a single functional unit consistent with the Georgian plot arrangement of House/Garden/Courtyard/Mews/Courtyard. A new garden on the podium level connects both the old and the new in line with historical precedent.

Bespoke design solutions developed; furniture/fittings – high quality; conservation works revealed historic finishes as well as imaginative/creative interpretation of finishes informed by research and analysis.

This a German Public Works contract, designing under SHWW.
